Blythe Books is looking for talented individuals to work with us in numerous areas. Please see below for opportunities we have for employees, vendors, and class instructors.
Preference will be given to vendors and authors in the Western PA/WV/Eastern OH area as Blythe Books commits to sourcing local items whenever possible. This does not exclude people from outside this region from applying, but we are limited in the amount we are able to stock.

Employment Opportunities
We are looking for vendors and authors from the Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania area to fill our shelves with. We currently have need for the below items:
Books written by local authors (independently published is acceptable)
Book themed bath and body products
Children items for art, reading, and creativity
Book themed magnets, pins, stickers, or hats
Book themed gifts
General artwork

Author and Vendor Opportunities
Blythe Books is looking for skilled individuals able to teach classes for up to 12 participants at our storefront. We will provide the location, you provide the skills and know-how.
Classes we are looking to offer include but are not limited to:
Basic art instruction for adults
Basic art instruction for children
Book skills such as papermaking or book binding
String-based instruction including knitting, crochet, or needlepoint.
Candle making, soap making, jewelry making, etc.
Class fees are set by the instructor with a small co-pay to Blythe Books.

Adult Book Fairs with Blythe Books

Missing the old Scholastic Book Fair days? Let Blythe Books come to your place of employment and throw you and adult book fair! Free book fairs hosted by our team are available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday as our schedule allows. We’ll show up with lots of goodies - used books at great prices, local authors, apparel, bookmarks, stickers, journals - everything you could dream of. You and your team get all the shopping time you want to browse our selection and leave with a bunch of amazing new books and treats.
We book Adult Book Fairs on a first-come basis. To inquire about our schedule or availability, please reach out.

Most book fairs are free! You can book us for a two-hour book fair and we’ll set everything up at no cost to you or your company.
Want to extend the experience? We can stay as long as you’d like! After the initial two hours we charge an additional $25/hour, as extra staff is needed for longer events.
We also book Saturday and Sunday Book Fairs for a flat fee. Please reach out to discuss pricing if you’d like to book us for a weekend.
Outdoor Book Fairs can be reserved for a one-time $25 fee for additional weather precautions.

Adult book fairs must be booked for a business - we will not come to a residential address. If you’re interested in hosting a party or a book club event with us, please reach out to discuss renting our entire store for your group.
A minimum of 30 people must be scheduled to attend the Adult Book Fair.
While we can set up just about anywhere, we ask that the location be handicap accessible.
Set-up and tear down time is not counted into the free two hour window.
No minimum spend from any team is required to book us.
Book Club Opportunities
Book Clubs, Literary Meet-ups, Writers Groups, and other non-profit organizations:
We offer Exclusive Store Time (EST) for your group to meet at our location and shop. We will open our shop to your members only for a two-hour time period. During that time, you can use our location to shop, host a meet-up, or anything else you can envision.
There is a limit of one free meet-up per quarter per group. Additional meetups can be planned for a small fee to Blythe Books.
