Celebrate Jolabokaflod at Blythe Books
The holiday season is here, and Blythe Books is ushering in a new tradition for all of our favorite bookworms: Jolabokaflod!
Jolabokaflod is an Icelandic tradition of gifting yourself and loved ones books and sweets to enjoy on Christmas Eve together. It’s a fun tradition we’d like to bring to Brentwood and all of our favorite Blythe Books customers.
Stop by the store on December 24 between 10am-2pm and buy a book. Any book you purchase that day will come with free chocolate from Umber Chocolates. You can take the book home to enjoy that evening, along with the treat. It’s the perfect way to relax before Santa arrives.
Fine Print: One sweet treat per person, while supplies last. A book must be purchased to receive the gift. No monetary minimum of the price of the book is needed to be met to receive the chocolate gift. Store credit and gift certificates can be used, but no other coupon, promotional prize, etc. will be accepted for the Jolabokaflod promotion.
Can’t wait to see you before we close for the holiday break!

Each quarter we will meet to look at different aspects of running your author business with topics such as building a brand, small business concerns, marketing in today’s world, selling your book, the mechanics to getting it done, and more.
January’s Topic: Building a Brand

In this hands-on workshop you'll explore the language of flowers, create your own petite floral arrangement, and enjoy light refreshments worthy of any fine drawing room. All are welcome—whether in modern dress or the fashion of the Season.
This class is intended for ages 18+
The cost of this class includes high tea, treats, and all supplies and instruction needed to create your own floral arrangement.
Tickets for this event go on sale in July 2025. Watch social media for a more specific date.
