The 2026 Burgh Book Hunt
Join Blythe Books for the first annual Burgh Book Hunt, a month of puzzles, mysteries, and clues leading up to some fantastic prizes for you to win!
Clues will be posted to our social media accounts weekly, with a key or guide available for pickup at the store starting on October 1st. Only one key/guide is needed, so swing by the store at any point during the month to get your hands on all the clues you’ll need to solve.
This is a free event - no purchase is required to participate
This is an all-ages event! Work together as a family, or solve the riddles on your own. The choice is completely yours.
Clues will only be posted on our social media pages and will not be available elsewhere. Make sure you follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
Drop Off Event at Blythe Books
Our semi-annual book drop off event is back! Help us stock our shelves with books you no longer have need for in your own personal collection.
This event runs all day Saturday November 7th and Sunday November 8th at our store. Drop off books to sell that weekend and earn an extra bonus on any books we can accept from you. There is no limit to the number of books you can bring in, so plan accordingly to do some spring cleaning.
Our inventory needs change daily, but here are some rules to consider when deciding what books to bring in:
We generally are looking for books published from 2017 to present day. Exceptions are made sometimes, but the newer your book is, the better the chance we will be able to buy it from you.
Books should be in good or very good condition
We prefer to buy complete series whenever possible. Not a hard and fast rule.
We don’t have much room in our inventory currently for coffee table books, cookbooks, or travel books. We take these on a very limited basis.
This Drop Off event we are offering a double bonus payment on any of our “hard-to-find” genres and authors: this includes sci-fi and adult horror genres and books written by Terry Pratchett, Taylor Jenkins Reid, Joe Abercrombie, Ali Hazelwood, B.K. Borison, Emily Henry, Meghan Quinn, Rachel Reid, and Rachel Courage
For any additional questions about our book buying process, please see our Sell Your Books page on our site.

Lu watched the love of his life walk the plank and sink into the inky-black depths of the sea. Nnenna was dead . . . or so he had thought.
Five years later, Lieutenant “Lu” Ortega, dutiful Fleet officer, embarks on a mission to hunt down a powerful talisman now in the hands of a runaway mermaid. On his quest, he discovers the impossible: Nenna is somehow still alive. Fierce, cunning, and as breathtaking as ever, she’s won enough bloody swordfights as a pirate captain to earn the nickname “Devil of the Deep.” She has come to reject the system of order that Lu clings to, and worse, she’s protecting the very quarry he's tracking: Pearl Highwater, who has defied the all-powerful sea god and might hold a valuable key to finding her people’s lost island.
When the tides and fates bring them together, Nnenna, Lu, and Pearl must choose their loyalties, find their courage, and race to protect the island from false gods and forces of evil—or risk unleashing an ancient curse that could destroy them all.
Books will be available for purchase at the event. A preorder button will also be available closer to the event directly on this site.
