Do you and/or your significant other love books? Have you ever imagined the perfect date night at a bookstore, closed to everyone but you? If this sounds magical to you we have the perfect holiday set up.
We have several spots available over multiple days for you to rent out Blythe Books for an hour. Your hour in the store will include:
Privacy to shop for anything you like - be loud, be silly, no one’s here but you and your significant other!
Want to go on a shopping spree? Take 20% off anything you buy at the store during your date night! (Everything is included in this except booking classes that are hosted through Blythe Books)
A book rose, perfect for displaying on your bookshelves at home
Champagne for everyone (alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available)
A small gift from Blythe Books to celebrate your date night together
On top of that, we can make the night extra memorable by offering:
A dozen roses from local florist Flowers and Fairytales (separate add-on price included)
A discounted gift card from Blythe Books - Save 25% on any amount, so get a $25 gift card for $20. This can be purchased ahead of time or the evening of

Can I use store credit to book this?
Yes you can! Please contact us at blythebookspgh@gmail.com prior to purchasing your spot so that we can confirm your credit amount and issue you a coupon for the amount of your credit. We make every effort to respond in a timely manner to requests such as this, but after hour emails could lead to a delay in a reply. Please be aware that your spot is not held for you while waiting for us to confirm your credit
What if I Need to Cancel?
Like our class schedule at the store, all sales for this event are final. Should you be unable to attend after reserving your spot, you are free to gift or sell your spot to someone else. Blythe Books does not assist with the reselling of a ticket after it has been purchased.
Can I Buy Anything I See?
Yes, all of it will come with a discount. You’re welcome to shop our main sales floor or even our behind-the-counter stacks for the perfect book. In addition, we’re happy to keep something on hold for you starting February 1st if you see something on our shelves.
What is the Age Limit for this Event?
Love comes in all shapes and sizes, and this date night is not exclusive to partners. If you’re interest in bringing your son, daughter, grandchild, niece or nephew to the store, please note that we ask that they are 10+ years old. Alcohol will not be served to anyone under the age of 21, and we reserve the right to check IDs if needed.
You’re also welcome to bring yourself out on a solo date for the perfect bookish evening. Our staff would love to chat with you about books while you browse.
