Join Pittsburgh area bookstores The Shelf Love Society and Blythe Books as well as local authors Ann C. Orlandi and [redacted] as we meet to discuss choices authors can make today that will allow them to sell their books successfully to independent bookstores and at in-person con events.
The Shelf Love Society and Blythe Books are two Pittsburgh-based bookstores who stock large amounts of independent authors. They will take you through the ins and outs of how to pitch your book to a store, what you can expect from a business partnership with a location, and how you can improve what you’re offering to these establishments.
Ann C. Orlandi has experience in small and large press traditional publishing, and independent publishing. She will assist participants in how to present their book in the best possible light to make it appealing to potential readers.
This class is offered both online and in-person at The Shelf Love Society. Anyone who attends the in-person class will be able to talk to both bookstores after the event to talk about a potential collaboration with the store.
If booking the online option, a meeting link will be sent to you prior to the start of the event.
